The Practice is able to refer to a local Social Prescribing Service – Social Providers can support with:

  • Life Changes
  • Coping with long term health conditions
  • Housing Problems
  • Financial Problems
  • Wellbeing
  • Mental Health 

The Practice can also refer you to a Lifestyle Advisory Service – Lifestyle Advisors can support with:

  • Healthy Eating
  • Reducing Alcohol Consumption
  • Stopping Smoking
  • Exercise
  • Wellbeing

Counselling

A Counsellor visits the surgery on an adhoc basis.

Podiatry and Audiology

Based on site. Referral would be required.

Health Visitors

Baby clinics are held at the Practice every Wednesday morning.

Health Visitors are based off site but can be reached on 01527 488369. 

Midwife

A Community Midwife has a clinic on a Tuesday.

Minor Operations 

The Practice has a minor operations suite and undertakers joint injections and minor operations – these require GP referral and will require an initial consultation with the Doctor

Family Planning/Sexual Health

We run fortnightly contraception clinics with pre-bookable appointments

Blood Tests

The Practice is able to offer an in house phlebotomy service, all requests for bloods are generated by the Doctors.  We are unable to administer blood tests without their prior instruction. 

We have a Practice Nurse team and one Health Care Assistant who provide clinics Monday to Friday between 08:30 and 14:00. We are also able to process blood tests requested by University Hospital Birmingham or Worcestershire Acute Hospital Trusts.  We are able to offer appointments from 07:30 on selected days, please check with Reception.

Please note we are unable to process requests for Solihull or Private Hospitals as we do not hold a courier contract with these providers.  All requests will be considered on a case by case basis.

Flu Vaccination

We advise vaccination to all those over the age of 65, pregnant ladies, carers and to those patients who have a chronic disease such as asthma, diabetes, heart disease, renal disease etc.

Practice Nurses

Our practice nurses provide a range of services which include – diabetic checks, cervical smears, blood pressure checks, travel vaccinations, childhood immunisations, dressings, ear syringing, asthma checks and new patient checks. Please make an appointment at reception.

Patients may be sent letters from time to time regarding Health Promotion clinics and are encouraged to attend these sessions.
